Museum visits are always one-way in a sense that creators of artwork and viewers are hardly connected. With AR, it becomes possible to comment upon a given artwork virtually without damaging the original art. Through collaboration, such interactions could potentially bridge viewers with viewers, or artists with viewers in an asynchronous way. Below is a program we implemented on the Magic Leap One headset that allows users to sketch in 3D environment. Below is a video demonstration of me using the interface to extend a painting on a TV screen into 3D.
